Tides - an original poem for Poetry Friday

Today, an original poem. It's from a collection of children's poems about the moon. It is a very small poem, but I like it.

Tides
by Kelly R. Fineman

The moon’s pull, gravitational,
draws the tide to shore.
It lingers, meditational,
then goes out once more.

You're reminding me of Douglas Florian with your inspired rhyme: gravitational/meditational. LOVE IT!

I like the thought that meditation is part of the tide coming in and going out.

Beth: Thank you so much.

Mary Lee: Any comparison to Douglas Florian is high praise indeed. Thanks!

Yat-Yee: The tide feels meditative to me. I love watching the waves, and try to get to the shore a few times a year just to do that.
